DIFFERENT FLAVOURS

DIFFERENT FLAVOURS

A Poem by April Child

When we were kids

you liked lemonade and

cheese and onion crisps

while I liked coca cola and

salt and vinegar.

Not much has changed huh.

Memories; I'm not sure if this one is fond or you're trying to say these two people cannot get along and never could. I hope it's the first! I wrote something kind of like this; it even started with the same line "When we were kids"; ironic. I respect this piece...Well done!

Sometimes the biggest obstacle can be overcome with a single, small step. Sometimes the smallest difference becomes an unbridgeable chasm. There is no rhyme or reason in it.

How do you do it everytime, sending me into your early life, with few words of magic .... nothing had really changed , right?

Sometimes the very uniqueness that separates us is what keeps us together...ying and yang.
