Fluffy Mashed Clouds

Fluffy Mashed Clouds

A Poem by April Child
"

Musings of a flight attendant....

"

Somewhere North of Amsterdam,

bending down to file the dirty linen in its bag,

I look outside and notice cloud

as far as eye can see,

fork fluffed mashed potato.

Makes me think of shepherds pie.

I’m looking down at the

biggest pie in the world...

Must buy some mince on the way home.

Love the imagery in this one...and yeah, I've thought it too....kinda wanted to jump out the window and just land on a cloud, feel embraced by it's softness...and a great last line here too, showing the ever present machinations of the "doing" mode of mind....thanks for sharing....

Nice view. Mountain ranges that look like spines.... The US is full of patchwork and swimming pool potholes.... :)

all the poetry is curious in its ambiguosness.. it speaks of hidden notions and specifics of a personal kind..

I always see endless snow when I fly... oh what the imagination can do to helpus escape reality for just a moment.

Aw, wonderful! I remember on one of my first plane trips up north that I thought apartment housing looked rather like 'stitches' and wondered if Mary Shelley would have loved the view from up there! xoxox

Great write, dear one!
