Glow Stars

Glow Stars

A Poem by April Child
"

It's old, no-one left me!

"

What to do at  2am

when your love

has left you.

Stick glow stars on

the ceiling whilst

humming “fly me

to the moon”

Lie back looking

at the night sky

and cry…

There is such a tenderness here in the feelings of lost love (and was happy for your note). Have thought often of the wonder of placing glow stars on the ceiling. My nephew used to have them. Your words are beautifully poignant...

Getting lost in fantasy is the one true cure for reality... the wording at first seems so simple but pondering it brings many layers.
