The Unseen Visitor

The Unseen Visitor

A Poem by April Child
"

"you've got snail"

"

Each morning I wake up,

shuffle to the kitchen,

brew coffee and

peruse the

glistening trails

on the back doormat

He comes every night,

the anonymous artist,

and leaves another

masterpiece for

me to admire

and puzzle over

Original works

in transparent

shimmer, ectoplasmic

gleaming slither

waltzing over

warp and weft

There is not

long before the

dizzy glaze,

in dreamlike

fashion, evaporates

and is gone.

I’m left to wonder.

Maybe this

ethereal etcher

is simply an

insomniac snail

with an itchy tum.

You've got such a great way of writing. This is a great little piece with a mixture of simplicity and yet some colorful word use that spices things up at the same time. 3rd stanza was cool.

Your poems truly are unique; clever and sortof like a song.

The words flow so well when you read them.

'is simply an insomniac snail with an itchy tum' great line; they all are.

XD Wow! This poem is brilliant! It's at once fanciful and full of wonder, and then ends in such a humourous way! And such an original thought too! Who would think that the culprit would be a sleep deprived snail with an itch it can't scratch! Simply amazing~
This is written with such intricacy. The alliteration and usage of unique words enhanced it ten-fold! "Ectoplasmic" a word I encounter only in paranormal studies, using it here is so seemingly out of place that I couldn't imagine any other word that would make more sense!

Great job!
