I love this! I carry such a stone, washed up to the beach, just a piece of a much larger shell but soft, well worn, smooth, and full of life, and promise, and magic somewhere. I have had it in my pocket for many years now. And I give such stones, as offers of hope, encouragement, friendship, and love. What a great write, April! Thank you for sharing this with me.
The only thing I may change is "a humble gift" to "a humb-ling gift"? Small pebble, big gift, beautiful gesture. So much love in this one little stone... it's almost hypnotizing... close your eyes... your pebbles getting verrrrrry heavy :)
i love this line. the whole poem is sweet but this was such a cool way of describing love. how it takes the miniscule moments and expands them into panoramics.
i love how you write when you are in love. you went from amazing to outrageously inspiring.
A humble gift maybe but oh, if it could tell a tale! I have rocks from every place I have been on my windowsill in my room - I pick them up and hold them and think of the place and sometimes the person as I hold them in my hand..... this is sweet and timeless.

You know, I think that that would be such a perfect gift, for me anyway.
A piece of earth, symbolising all that there is to be, in your hand, and in your pocket to keep.
Yes, that would be such a nice present.
I love words and I like to write poems. Sometimes words just come and I don't know where from but I write them down anyway. There's something very powerful in the written word. It shows you where y.. more..
