Yip...it cirtain looks like one of those days. I hope it got better, a very good write showing how things all add up, into what feels like the waight of the world upon us. A great Write.
There are days like that--I think we all have them. I try not to be superstitious about it, but can't help noticing the signs. "Trail of white pearls"--I like that. I hope you don't have very many of those kind of days, April Child. A very well-written poem.
a small suggestion. in the last stanza the repeated use of "milk" tripped me up a little bit. i'm trying to think of another word to use but that's hard. it's not bad per se... but i did notice it and it seemed a little rougher than the rest of the poem which was all good stuff.
i really love the idea of "mold loitering" lol. that is brilliance. you write magic in everyday experience.
This may be a bit of a stretch, but i'm thinking breakfast bars, or fruit perhaps. Wait, breakfast bars can mold too, and dropped apples, all squishy, never mind. I'm really loving your writing, it is so crisp, and clear, and easy to understand, that's important for me, even though no one can understand my stuff lol. This was really funny, well maybe not at the time, but you seem like you would just take these things in stride, and maybe even crack up a little bit later on in the day. Ha Ha. Kind of like that. Oh yeah, one more thing, remind me to never come over for a toasted egg sandwich, I'm not sure but I'm thinking I'm probably allergic to mold.
Remember, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Well, sometimes anyway.
Loved This!

I love the last line.
Good form, good choice of words, and the narration flows smoothly. I do feel like I am reading a short story, actually, a very short story, with a wonderful insight.
April my friend what brilliant imagery "A trail of white pearl" Just awesome my friend and a phrase I will well remember. Could not fault anything that is as beautiful and different as this poem of yours.
HUGS xxxxxxxxxxxxxxAnne.
I love words and I like to write poems. Sometimes words just come and I don't know where from but I write them down anyway. There's something very powerful in the written word. It shows you where y.. more..
