It seems, at least to me, that the most real and powerful feelings seem to be those which lurk just out of our understanding: melancholia, lugubrious, ennui... no matter how precisely you try to express it, it feels inadequate. Once we attribute a firm word, trying to harrow an impression to an emotion, what we feel seems to lose something. Perhaps that is why poetry has the power it does, attempting to guide rather than define such facets of the hearts we ourselves do not understand--those things which envelope their beauty in their own impermanence. I certainly appreciated this one, especially the imagery, and the way you weaved metaphors in their own passing way.
I so love that ending. Makes me think of autumn and how even thou things are dying there is beautiful colors everywhere.
