And that must be wrong!A Poem by ajellyIrish word for love is like failte. I think thats so apt a term for feeling evokes highest of highs and lowest of lows. To rise up from ashes of fires of passions lost and be pheonix, we take turns.
Fallen.
In sin, We just fell. Years past. I remember. The red of your beard. The blood tones of your skin. The gaze of your look. The warm touch of your hands. The wetness of our emotions. Just a taste of what came to be. So little of an inkling of knowledge Of my demise, my willing undoing. My vows meant nothing. Just a bunch of meaningless words. And that must be wrong. To say empty words with no meaning. Years past to another man who I now ignore and despise. And that must be wrong. To see the red of your beard. The blood tones of your skin. The gaze of your stare. The warmth of your touch. The wetness of our emotions. And that must be wrong. To say empty words without meaning. To despise his lack of conviction all the years we were married. And what is so wrong. Tell me. To see the red of your beard. The flush tones of your skin. The gaze of your stare. Oh, to feel the warmth of your hands Bound up in the wetness of our emotions. And that must be wrong. To feel your lips on my face. And your hands on my neck. And my hands on your back. Good god, i could scream your name thousand times, couldn't I? Wouldn't I? Didn't I? Haven't I? I whisper it under my breath or write this instead. Words have meaning. I am not mistaken. Your convictions are worthy. Your opinions are yours. Your actions revealing You never minded repealing My vows, if as i said, just empty words Full of heartache. And that must be right. You must be right. I must be too. We are right. Back where we started. Back to the beginning. Back to a future. I see it. And that must be wrong. How could it be right? All this time You've battled your conviction, with reason. I plead with you, Just please You fought for me hard, pathetic. And blue. The stars in your eyes Tell me every single time: I am yours. You are mine. Simply Divine! Struck from the stars. Fallen straight from the skies. This thing between us, I hardly surmise. This energy Simply divine. My greatest fear was of falling. Or of being untrue. And that must be wrong. I'll never be that, Im so fallen with you. © 2018 ajelly |
