Black Orphan BoyA Poem by Jordan HarpterI see Jesus
For a moment, perhaps a handful of passing moments, most likely a million moments. I seem to miss that Jesus becomes a black little orphan boy. Looking into those black eyes of innocent love, I become undone. How powerful such tiny hands can be. They opened my chest peeling back flesh, muscles, breaking through my ribs to kiss my bleeding heart. The now blood stained lips smile at me with the very look of heaven. So now I desire to sleep at his feet...the feet of Jesus, who for just a moment became a little black orphan boy.
