A Poem by Vincent
"

this was written as a long awaited response to a poetic reply that was sent to me a very long time ago.

"

weeping freshly in the wake of
happiness given to a girl young,
giving the greatest piece to love
not to break, only to be stung
by constant prodding pokes of care,
to make sure that the lover is there.
geeks were never the cool kids such.
giving the greatest piece to love back
to the kid so sweet, for much to think
of just a kiss, or maybe to cut slack;
even a gentle hug, with a little wink.
knowing he's everything for her to have
makes not being there all so sad.
he cares for you just as much.
whether watching clips or reading notes,
or taking slips on impulsive hopes;
checking the board for just a minute
looking for the girl who might've sent it.
so don't cry when you're ever so sad,
thinking of the greatest times never had.
can you tell me how you care with just a touch?
