caesar

caesar

A Poem by Vincent
"

this is super old.

"

the gods have warned you not to betray,
but you did not heed their words;
your actions have led you too much astray,
and you've joined their damned herds.
your blood has been tainted
by avarice, arcane at will;
incarnadine, the streets are painted,
and the dogs have had their fill.
beware the words that bind you
as you cross the ides of march.
like empires past, you will fall too;
succumb, your life is mine.
how black your heart has become
as you slay another lamb;
another life unimportant,
narcissistic plea.
through these streets
so much blood runs.
you will no longer take;
your allies take defense against you,
the debt is yours to pay.
give unto me...
(sacrifice)
take none before thee...
(yourself.)
take your life...
(give it to me...)
if i ask of it...
(it is your promise.)
you've been damned for good reason.
