conflictions of a man lost

conflictions of a man lost

A Poem by Vincent
"

in the view of another person.

"

days are covered in darkness,
souls deprived of the light that they seek;
should we all bear witness
to a world so desolate and bleak?

to a life shrouded in confusion,
a life of freedom is of the greatest horror.
to live in this illusion,
one will have to make himself poorer.

though love is of the greatest surplus,
it is lonliness that invariably suffocates all.
throughout all of this childish fuss,
i am the one chosen to fall.

for you, i live and i breathe,
waiting and thinking of you.
as i pull this burden, i heave,
and i hope you think of me too.

this time is growing ever so short now,
but every moment is another eternity;
all i ask of one is how,
how do the little things get the best of me?

i may curse, bedevil, or disown them all,
but these actions are mine, and i must take them.
as i tell of defeat, out to the masses i call,
and meaningless lies, we can never fake them.

who says that things don't last forever?
these people know not of what they speak.
we can make them, as long as they stand the weather,
and as long as their foundations don't grow weak.
