Childhood Dreams

Childhood Dreams

A Poem by Apple Newhouse

Ever since I was a little girl I had a dream,
a wish I wished at every wishing well
a wish I wished on every star

A dream I hope for after I die and pass through the beautiful white gates of summerland

 A beautiful beach
Beautiful cool blue water I can swim freely and play freely in
white sand I can squish my feet and toes in and build sand castles of endless possiblities.
Bright sunny and blue skies that I can feel the warmth under.

When I go deep into the water I grow a long tail so I can swim freely and deep under water with watery friends, explore the watery depths. Collect watery treassures, wear shells in my hair, endless fun,Be a true mermaid.
