eating me away
A Poem by
Apple Newhouse
Everytime I think of you, look at you speak to you It eats me,it eats me from the inside the thoughts and feelings of worthlessness abandonment betrayal If I was what you wanted If I was beautiful If I was worth something, even a penny Would I have been hurt? If I felt worth something I wouldnt have let you back If I was beautiful I wouldnt have suffered If I was what you wanted it wouldnt have happend Eaten alive like snail attacked my tormenting ants. The suffering will never end.

Sad poem. A poem of growth? One hopes so. A passage of experience perhaps. A good poem.

Relationships can be hard, suffering through one can be torture. Sometimes people make decisions they wish they could change. Writing is a good way to express yourself an you've done that here.

I wish you wouldn't have suffered it either. I know that pain myself. Then we learn to stop listening to others and start listening to ourselves. Belief is a powerful thing. It hits very close to home for me. Thank you for your honesty. Namaste.
