hush-hush

hush-hush

A Poem by TamiViolet
"

adaptation of a poem by William Blake called 'Love's Secret'

"

Always keep your cloak of mystery,

        Spread across the violet sky,

            Or he might miss your beauty,

                   Seeking softer, silent eyes.

                        She unveiled her secrets;

                         She unclothed her heart,

                         For she loved him...too soon,

                      She unclothed her heart.

                  Dreadfully, he did depart;

             A puzzling stranger came by,

         Whispering in the quiet darkness,

Whisking him away with a sigh.

This is wriiten just as his was...three quatrains with rhyme occurring in lines two and four...one and three... There is such truth in Blake's verse, yet it is but 12 lines.

Wow, honestly, just wow. I've yet to see anyone else attempt a poem this way. Very interesting and a topic I believe so many women know and can relate to. Sometimes we fall way too fast.

Absolutely beautiful imagery. The first and last two lines are my favorite. The poem as a whole really resonates with me. And purple text helps. ^_^ Thanks for sharing this!

Wonderful poem! The rhyme adds to the flow of the poem which seems to sway from happiness to sadness just as you have the poem sway with the formatting.

Love the color tone, Blake touchstone, and Mystery theme.

I think though, there is a quality of being at a great depth that can never be spoiled by revelations. Case in point: Enlightenment is no eradication of Mystery -- it is the thorough "teabag" immersion in the hot water. The Mystery of the water remains Infinite.

Mood intelligence is of this ilk, an eternally enigmatic aura that remains no matter how much is relatively revealed.

That said, the strip tease or onion peel of all the layers is nonetheless mating-dance pleasurable.

The interstices where romantic sexuality and spiritual contemplation meet are smiles of infinite grace.

Love is that which reveals to the longing hearts of lovers this inexhaustible well of happiness.

I love the intertwining of relative mysteries with the One ineffable Mystery, and I love your fine poem.
