Drowning in Suspension

Drowning in Suspension

A Poem by TamiViolet
"

inspired by a dream

"

Life consists of memories
making us who we are today

All those choices...

Few Successes.

Disgruntled Mistakes.

Agonizing Regret.

Remembered Scars.

A soul full of life never dies...
Does it?

I am awakened by equivocal voices of a
crimson sea bitter from too many tears...

For salvation.

The drowning is very, very slow

and tortuous...

Ever so slowly I drown...

Everything changes every minute,

yet I remain suspended...

Ambiguous Always.

Always too Ambiguous.

Change poses question in salty stirs and

ripples, babbling practical rationale...

Why...

As if I don't know the reasons.

I hear it's only a matter of time before the tide

turns...

To caress the purity of true love

To feel kisses in the sincerity of a soft rain

To taste the honesty of the snow on a lover's lips

Truly.

Deeply.

Without tears.

I am still waiting for someday,

Wondering...

Is it worth it?

There's a jazz blues instrumental on the radio. It seems to fit the mood of the dream-scape your poem conjours up. Yes, it is a sad them, and perhaps distressing to experience. But... You capture the feeling expertly and nail it down in a way that conveys the dream like qualities of the experience. Yes, it is sad, but life is sad in many ways. I like the way the poem starts off in a rational way but then slides into the dream. I've heard it said that drowing is a gentle death. But the idea of it being in slow motion terrifies. Is the very pulse of life ambiguous? -- Hamlet It's a very intimate psychological poem and many people with ask the same questions it poses. Enjoyed the read. It's intelligent and honest.

Dreams can be the best fuel for getting our deepest thoughts and emotions out onto the page. It takes courage to share such creations. I enjoyed it very much. Thanks for the courage to share this with your readers and fellow writers...

WOW my dear friend I love the emotion here! AN EXCELLENT Write Bravo!!
Indeed a sad prose but one with power in the lines that do not hide the emotion we feel by the cruelty of others that disappoint us in some our deepest emotions and there is power in these emotions I liked espcilly the following lines that reached out to me like the cold face of a drowning soul in the icy waters of loves life within ours and its true fate :
To caress the purity of true love

To feel kisses in the sincerity of a soft rain

To taste the honesty of the snow on a lover's lips

again very powerful thanks for the request to read sad but I ma glad I did so much honesty !!

This poem was nice, it was like riding on a tide (literally) i felt it building up and building up before it washed to shore in its magnificence and awe. good job.

You are my humility. You are my hope. You are my peerless peer. My ever-present example ... of inspiration. You are my friend not-yet met yet touching my soul. You are words I feel. =0)

deeply intense...the sense of hopelessness that does envelop some people, but there is hope...

this took me by surprise and it made me think on times that even i can identify with, though i try very hard to be optimistic. we all have our moments.

I am still waiting for someday,
Wondering...

Is it worth it?

to this i say, it is always worth it.....

an amazing write, A...it explores some of the deepest things that do go through the minds of ones that don't feel that there is something out there that will turn the tide on the hopelessness.

i love your graphics...it fit this write ever so well...

A xox
