A Poem by TamiViolet
"

not sure where this came from

"

He forgot the strength held in the soft bosom of superstition,

and Saturdays that became cloudy without promise of

awakening to scrambled eggs

and kisses...

He became movement in the trees, his entire body

trembling as if she walked over his grave

again and again...

She was different, and everyone knew magic

was her air...

waiting with swollen lips and traces of love

that could have been...

Never grounded, thoughts always somewhere

between Now and Never...

and Forever...

It was always him,

her one and only love letter not yet opened...

a glistening silver heritage making love to

a silhouette of tears...

"He became movement in the trees, his entire body
trembling as if she walked over his grave
again and again... "

Something about those lines just reached in and gently
ripped my heart out.

Once again, you've made a soft beautiful melody out of sadness,
taking your reader on a blissful tour of heartache. I don't know how
you do it A. I have yet to read another poet who can do that... your
reader still feels the effects of the sad and longing emotions that are
set forth in your work, yet you craft the words in such a way that
we willingly, and knowingly, walk the plank into heartbreak.

That is one of your artistry gifts I think... your poems mesmerize
your reader... somewhat blissfully carry them through it.. regardless
of content.. and then ever so gently... and lovingly... sink them.
(I hope it's understood that I mean that in a good way) :)

This is just beautiful my friend.. as always.

"waiting with swollen lips and traces of love
that could have been..." Wow! I loved these lines a lot, so beautifully penned and with such a great feel of sadness and pain in it!

After reading the entire poem, I first thought that yes! I agree this is purely random but on the other hand it is also so raw and powerful with so many strong emotions behind it (actually entire bundle of emotions, which are making the poem so vivid)
Yet, the poem is sad but I got that feel of warmth in itBehind these dark words I saw a ray of hopewhich is the best element behind it!
Great work overall, and I simply loved the flow and the tone with which you have written this..Brilliant!

Sometimes the most random poems captivate us the most. this was no exception. I loved it. Fluid, floated off the pages with sure grace. thanks for gracing us with another one of your wonderful pieces.

appolonia, you have a soothing voice behind your words,
its effects the reader, lulling; and how you take the heart
by capturing tragic beauty, with beauty, I loved it

Beautifully penned, touching and warm,
"a glistening silver heritage making love to a silhouette of tears"
Sad, but the element of desire gives a wealth of warmth out of this well orchestrated piece.
I wonder where your mind was at that moment in time as the breeze blew pass in his ghostly presence. Pity, although she somehow, eerily, managed to embrace her true love.

Nice write

Wherever this came from was a beautiful place. Your way with words in this piece was hypnotic.

I had to read it a few times. It seemed to mean something different each time. Nice work. Made me think.
