A Poem by TamiViolet
"

remaining strong during difficult times...

"

Sometimes I wish that I were cold like tonight, falling on the ice wouldn't hurt

so much, and the purple on my slender thighs would transform to yellow.

I would no longer find comfort wearing your old football jersey, number

thirteen slowly fading as the minutes become hours and the days intermingle

with the nights...

Loving you made me stronger.

Sacrifices are mute if for only one moment I feel your lips upon mine and the

warmth of your tongue as it explores the safety of my breasts.

I always perceived myself as fragile, but now realize that I am as the sea, for on
the stormiest of nights the black waves concede when the attempt to drown me

becomes...

Insurmountable.

I am yet standing on the shimmering white sand as it tickles my feet; the sun
caresses my shoulders, and the summer breeze restores my freedom, for I know
that I possess the ability...

to Love...

in spite of chaos.

I find this write absolutely beautiful. Not in a beautiful that is normal, but in a way that shows your feelings of saddness, pain. Yet, it makes you stronger, and allows you to gain the ability to move on.

I enjoy this poem because it's not a normal poem... Normality get's so boring. It's different, and one of which I can somewhat relate to.. Though.. I'm a male, and not female lol. In any event, it's beautifully written, and I'm going to have to make it one of my favorites. =)

Thank you for posting such an awesome write,

~Rob

Something else minx... You are marvelous and you write with the passion of the whole world. It's simply amazing how you can take something so cold and turn it warm, churning inside a person's heart.

Kisses!

Mad Prophet and I were discussing the death of my husband. I felt that I needed to clarify to avoid misinterpretation.

Very touching. From what you told me, I can see how much you must hurt, yet how much stronger you become. I like this one, you wrote it in so much emotion, and memory, a tool rarely used. I hope you do not loose site of your past, it was designed to help you later in life. We go through hardships to become a better person, and I hope more people become strong like you.

Hi A,
I saw that you were featuring this one, and just wanted to reiterate how
much I love this piece. I think it's my favorite of yours... actually .... I'm
sure of it.

These lines:

"to love,

in spite of chaos"

though may seem like such an easy statement,
is unbelievably powerful. I am drawn back to it..
to inhale it...

I agree with Sharla, you possess a rare gift my friend.

Yes, you posses a rare gift, sweetheart. To love, in spite of chaos.

Hold tight to this, and never, ever, let it go.

hugs,

Sharla
