The Fading of ColorsA Poem by TamiVioletinspired during one of my sleepless nights
I once heard someone say that 'love humiliates and hatred cradles,' and my
through the pounding rain.
Where are you, my love?
My blue jeans have faded to white, revealing patches of skin, abrasive from
my SOUL.
Where is the happily ever after that my mother promised me as a child? Where is that big, strong man who would be waiting...
just for me?
So once again I close my blinds to avoid the arrogance of the sun and view
I drift into repose and awaken with a fluttering heart...gasping for air, and
I know...
It's just around the corner...
