Complexities of a Woman

Complexities of a Woman

A Poem by TamiViolet
"

a tribute to the many dimensions of a woman - short and sweet

"

Sails of instinct guide her through a
turquoise sea of

self-respect

and

expression,

quietly dismissing all acts of

insidious

intent...

independent as the day and the night,
unassumingly
intelligent and...

precocious.

Within your honest heart she slowly
reveals the secrets of her legacy...

a treasure chest of iridescent pearls.

I think your "Sails of instinct" metaphor is brilliant, Apollonia. I'm no literary critic, just go by what I like and I am drawn to the beauty of this poemyour sparing, precise use of words, your presentation, the sentiment you express so well through figurative prose.

I love this one. So simple and poetic. The imagrey you create is so perfect of a woman's beauty. She is like pearls, so precious and valuable. Men can't forget that!

I can't say I entirely agree with this poem considering that the overwhelming majority of women that I met are just boring and unpoetic as the overwhelming majority of men that I've met, yet I haver certainly met a good number of young lasses whose names I still hear, echoing over the calm rush of waves, reminding me that this world is still worth being alive in.

you're right, it IS short and sweet but - goodness! You did a fine job at capturing "us". this has a nice flow.
I wish you and "The Rock and Roll Cowboy" every happiness love can give. What I have witnessed through his writing about the two of you makes me smile!

Remarkable, smooth and at the same time intense. Slowly reveals her legacy. Oh true, so true.

Wow babe you said so much in such a sweet little poem... the heart and mind of a good women is more precious then gold, yes they are complex and mysterious creatures but that is what makes them so great... touch a women's heart and there is nothing the won't do for you... and you by the way are the greatest woman I have ever known.
