A Poem by TamiViolet
"

Dedicated to Dani California

"

Come with me to the oldest lighthouse on Erie Harbor, and view the sunset
amidst a raspberry lemon sky.

Share with me your secrets as our tanned legs dangle over the wooden
pier, and our polished toes flirt, splashing in the golden water while we
share a bottle of deep red wine.

We both know the truth and taste each other's pain without inhibitions ~

without boundaries...

You understand how much we both detest...

black

and

white

borders.

As I view your jade eyes and gently remove a strand of soft brown hair
from your precious face, I realize that we belong with...

the water...

the sand...

the wind...

And I kiss away the tears from your past...

I wrote this one a while ago. However, Dani has become one of my dearest friends on the cafe, and each time I read it, I think of her. This is about pure, unconditional friendship.

Just a lovely moment beautifully expressed with pulses of imagination that literally colour the page. You have a very visual intensity about you which perhaps mirrors you own perceptions and certainly gives vividity to your expressions...if that don't sound too poncy! But damn it it's true! It's also great to see the contrast between your jagged pieces. And there is a reality about the piece, which acknowleges that life causes tears. But the moment is a beautiful one. Enjoyed the read.

This is beyond tender dearest one. This is emotional bliss for girls. Yes...I agree with those that came before the relationship between women is precious and should be preserved. Because women are so much better at emotional support than men by design. We would have much less animosity if all the women could support each other as you have described here. Love is love. Pure and simple.

I really enjoyed this poem, the warmth, the love. I absolutely adore your line, "...raspberry-lemon sunset..." what vibrant imagery...color and taste! I also love your line, "...we both detest black and white borders..." What a wonderful condemnation of our constant, foolish desire to organize, catagorize, arrange, and structure important things about life...things that naturally defy such artificial constraints. Beautiful, meaningful poem.

This one is so very romantic. I could almost feel a warm gentle breeze on my skin while reading this. A great writing once again. I like it.

The guys on Brokeback Mountain would be jealous. Very tender and sweet with only the brief interruption of having to read bright yellow up against a bright white background. Also a very nice and human, all too human, blend of opposites (tasting each other's "pain without inhibitions" against a "lemon" and "raspberry" sky [great line, I might have to steal it someday]).
