Lost love

Lost love

A Poem by APoetsMuse
"

love, ex, lost

"

I know I should just let you go

Give you some space to live and grow

But it’s so hard to see you leave

When everything is telling me you’re the one I need

The good in me is saying “just let him go and move on”

But without you I feel like a lonely duck in a large pond

The bad in me is saying “show him what he will miss”

In my head I seduce you with just one kiss

I pray that you will see me and want me back

So we can get together and lose track

Forgetting what we once had in the past

Just step over the fence and take a good look at my grass

Take your time, crawl, but get here

Help me to wipe away my hopeful tears

Only you can make me feel complete

I will accept anything but defeat

I have always been closed off to the possibility of you and I

But now that you’re gone, all I do is think of us and cry

Each time I try to deny what I felt

But when you’re around I feel myself melt

So much pain and not enough true love

But no matter what, you’re the one I always think of

I will always hold you near to my heart

If we end up together or if we are apart
