Good Bye

Good Bye

A Poem by APoetsMuse
"

break up

"

Remember back when you could care less,

That very day you left, you left the best.

Because now I’m that dime you wish you could hold,

But all sales were final, that day I was sold.

Yea my tender loving kisses are no longer for you,

Take a hint. Follow the crumbs and please get a clue.

You liked the game so much, now you’re left to play alone,

While I do me and treat you like stone.

Passing you by as if you were a part of the wall,

Holding my own and walking tall.

So why should I care when I know you don't,

Why try to change when I know you won't.

You try and pretend that you are what I want,

But deep down inside your here just to taunt.

To remind me that my backbone was lost for awhile,

But I have now learned and am no longer a child.

I have now opened my eyes to the false hope I had,

Once you are gone, I will no longer be sad.

No longer will you hold me, no longer will I cry,

I will breathe a sigh of relief when I finally say good bye.
