He was mine,
Yet, some how lost with time.
I paid the fine,
While he did the crime.
My tears fall down just like the rain,
Releasing my feelings that caused me pain.
There were so little rights and so many wrongs,
Yet some how I tried to remain optimistic and strong
But you took my hope as you faded away,
Leaving me alone, in a world dark and grey.
So now I shed this skin,
For a new life to begin.
Moving on from the past,
A new day at last.
Spring will be in the air,
Happy moments to be shared.
Empty days set a bay,
No more pain to mend away.
You are gone with the wind,
Oh how I love my new grin.
Bright eyes, where there once was tears,
No more lonely nights with my hopeless fears.
All I learned I could never forget,
This heartache from you I won’t regret.
