The Spirit Within�

Your voice brings me to a place of enlightenment,
Where I lose all of my past anger and all my resentment.
Your words show me that there can be good in everyone,
By taking away my worries and insecurities till there are none.
You are like a Beautiful memory or feeling of a wonderful past life,
It’s when I hear you giggle or see you smile that I know my feelings are right.
You showed me a smile that had been hidden for so long,
It was like a rare Gem or a great 60’s classic song.
That night you walked me to my door,
I learned you were more then what I first saw.
You told me you waited for someone to share your thoughts and dreams,
I thought to myself, is this guy real? Can there be more then what it seems.
Cause you looked and me and grabbed my hands,
In a gentle way I could never understand.
I knew then and there we would be involved in each other’s lives forever.
I knew some how you would be there for me through the worst of weathers.
I would gladly give you away for someone else to feel your spirit for just one day,
So they may feel the love, the life and the trust in the words that you say.
