A Mothers Love©

A Poem by APoetsMuse
"

death, parent, mother, love

"

My life would seem empty if you weren’t by my side,
A life without a mothers love would make you want to die.
This pain in my heart I can’t seem to shake,
So many quiet nights I lay in bed awake.
I try to stay strong and try not to cry,
But I think of all the time-shared and I start to wonder why.
Why is it your turn,
Why does this feeling burn?
In a flash you can be taken so fast,
I wish our memories to always last.
I feel so empty and alone, and then I think of all your love,
Yet somehow that’s not enough for the man up above.
So now I sit and think of you,
Hoping that heaven is really true.
Cause when you’re gone a new world begins,
No one will be there to correct my sins.
So always look down on me from that special white cloud,
And know in your heart that I will always be your child.
I will sadly miss you till the day we meet,
Until I get there, please hold me a seat.
