Hypothetical romanceA Poem by AphitenzaWhat our love would look likeWe’ve never been in love But if we were- it would be beautiful catastrophe We would ruin one another Feed off each-others minds And prevail in a world full of agony
You’d taste like nicotine and wasted dreams And resemble a movie star I’d kiss your busted knuckles As we lay breathlessly In the backseat of your car
We’d stare into midst of nothingness And our slumber would deprive You’d be the epitome of every song By the 1975
We’d drink cause there’s no tomorrow Let me in your existential head Tell me all the thoughts that roam your mind When you’re all alone in bed
You’d be bad for me- I’d be worse for you And together we’d never thrive You’d be the absolute and utter most death of me But I’d never feel more alive © 2017 AphitenzaFeatured Review
