Loss

Just a little poem from a few years ago that was written while I was bored and probably should have been paying attention in class.

"It's better to have loved and lost,"

       Says the heart that no longer beats whole.

"But it's far more important to learn from your loss,"

       Says the man with a secretive soul.

"Life is a game, and some games you must lose,"

       Says the feet that now stand in last place.

"But you'll never recover the things that you've lost,"

       Says the tears running down a sad face.
