Apprehension, Doubt, and Acceptance

Apprehension, Doubt, and Acceptance

A Poem by Apebble
"

When encountering fear, we struggle through. Once help does arrive, we've been through so much we can doubt the very thing that offers to save us. Sometimes we just have to accept it.

"

Cause I'm afraid

To be the one

I know I'm not

And I cant run,

I'm too weak

Don't shy away,

Don't you believe?

Are you the one

That calls my name?

The one that claims

He'll save the day?

Don't tell me a lie,

Please,

Don't let me die.

Can I accept,

There's more

Than this

That I can be

Anything I dream?

Not to run away,

But wait another day

Will I believe,

That I could be

Greater than all of this

What if?

The silence here

Screams its true

That I'm not alone,

When I'm here

With you

Listen closely now

My life is found

Even through the dark,

Its just beginning to start

And the cracks may show,

But no one will know

When the light breaks through

I know deep down,

It's true

Author's Note

Apebble
This is an extension of Apprehension and Doubt (which was an extension of Apprehension). Since the stanzas work together, I posted three separate. Apprehension alone, Apprehension with the second stanza (called Doubt), and then Apprehension, Doubt and Acceptance (which is what you just read).

I think having them individualized conveys a different emotion than having them all together...maybe it's just me haha.
