Reminiscence

Reminiscence

A Poem by ApKWrites

Remember the days

When we were young

And the sun

Had bright rays?

The days where disease

Could not bring us to our knees

And the accursed technology

Was not the equivalent of a eulogy!

Remember we used to go out

Played in the mud

We climbed trees

And fooled around?

The days with play mobiles

With clay and dirty sleeves

They are now replaced

With medicinal pills

And sanitising sheets

I remember those days

With bright lively colours

Now covered with greys

And skies filled with clouds

We lived with the trees

But we were happy and free

Now we fight to cure

Man-made diseases

And hypocritically

Claim to be pure!

Stories popped in my mind since I was a child. Sometimes short, brief passages, sometimes just ideas of an event and some other times a full length scenario, so I started noting them down bit by bit... more..
