Black Skin

Black Skin

A Poem by ApKWrites

I have black skin

                               But it’s red I bleed

I get knocked down

                                But I fight

             I stay proud

I get up and walk

                                Someone throws me

              On a wall

A kick and I fall

                                I’ve done

              Nothing wrong

Helpless I kneel

                               You kick me

               I bleed

I stay down

                              And I beg you loud

I want to leave

                               Go home to my kids

I move my hand

                               To push and stand

                What have I done?

Red drops

                                Form Crimson pools

Assumptions

                                 Are for fools

I just have black skin

You shot me and I bleed

         For something I never did.

I lay down

                                    Too tired now

                  For all I did

                                               Was have a black skin.

About
Stories popped in my mind since I was a child. Sometimes short, brief passages, sometimes just ideas of an event and some other times a full length scenario, so I started noting them down bit by bit... more..
