The Power Is In You

I need to say something I've wanted to forever,
You're an amazing person with a priceless soul,

No currency could ever put a value on you,
If only I could tell you in person so you knew.

I don't care what you've done,
All that matters is what you now do,
So open your once pure innocent heart,
Allow your inner beauty to shine through.

If others are putting you down,
I'm telling you they don't have a clue,
I know you don't hurt others,
So you're free to be all of you.

I wish I was always there to have your back,
 I really want to remove you from this lifelong queue,
I'd be honoured to take a step into your shoes,

I'd remind you that there's no one better than you.

Even though we're so far apart,
I feel your warming presence everyday,
And I can never thank you enough,
You are the exact reason I choose to stay.

If I could give you a gift,
I'd give you the power of the gods,
With the will to control their energy,
And the knowledge to set yourself free.

All I want is for you to be happy,
Seeing you smile fills me with a utopic glee,
Without you I'm unable to chase my dream,
Without you my paradise is impossible to see.

I hate it when you're sad, lonely and scared,
I never want you to have to live in fear,
I want you to feel the comfort of a warm family,
When I say this I need to make myself clear.

I love you with every ounce of my soul,

I would do anything to keep you alive,
I'd die an infinite amount of deaths,
I'd sacrifice anything for you to survive.

Don't dare to ever doubt what I say,
Please believe that my words are true,
If you're still confused, search for a mirror,
The one I speak of is there waiting for you.
