The Cycle

The Cycle

A Poem by Anthony

As life goes on,
And we start to dream.
Things come apart along the seam.

As life continues,
Your heart grows colder,
So you must get bolder.
To grab the reins
Of the beast called Life.

As life slows,
Your bones grow weak,
And you move with pain.
Don't be meak,
As your soul will gain.
The strength to enter
The chamber of eternal slumber.

As life stops,
You rest peacefully
As your body grows cold
Your soul grows bold.

After life,
Your body's recycled,
And your soul remains.
As it finds peace,
Its essence is grabbed,
And is thrown into the torrent

Known as Life...

I liked this, but I'm not too sure how I felt about the format.
Great subject matter though, and good choice of words(:

The cycle of life. I think you missed a few steps.
I see life as a butterfly. U start as lava then go to a catapillar then to a butterfly. Well then u die. Its exciting. But you blossom. You enter and become this beautiful creature.
Kinda like a rose as well i guess. As it grows. Then blooms. The grows weak as it dies.
