Ties

Ties

A Poem by Anthony

Unwanted tears try to flow,
The loss is fresh,
A connection severed.

A bond fading,
Torn,
Weakened,
Broken.

Regardless of how it comes to be,
The loss is always felt.
Whether by your hand,
Or another's,
A hole will be left for awhile.

Time will heal,
As more are forged.
Each new bringing another chance.

Will the bond be brittle after the flame?
Or shall it become tougher for enduring?
