Secrecy

Secrecy

A Poem by Anthony

The need to hide,
Such a thing.
I cannot fathom,
As to why.

Why need I be,
But only a secret?
Why may I not,
Be known as thus?

A bond should never be hidden,
For that only shows,
That you have reasons,
To not claim me as yours.

Whether you have another,
Or worried for what people may think,
Secrecy only hurts,
It never proves good.

While it may seem like a good idea,
Don't you ponder how it feels,
To be not a thing,
Save a secret?
