I Have Found The Balance

I Have Found The Balance

A Poem by Anya

from the depths of the sea
which swelters and sways
it has entered my psyche
in two shocking ways
burnt up my skin
and betrayed my veins
im captive, im victim
of that innocent face

and I have found the balance.

That sun in her stars

and the million radars

that stripped my mind

of her most perfect smile

who would dare

to defile

your awesome purity

and the beauty will scream

as the terrors tears stream

but I swear to my soul

I wont

cant

forget

this life

this sect

I'm stolen by you

The sand on my face

that's scattered into place
I awoke to a dream

of peace

but my sleep was commanded

to cease

In search of that alleged balance.

your beauty, my darling

is gnashing and gnarling

I've slain the beast

it's all for you!

but tell me, is it right

that I've been touched

by the light

and should I bear it's child?

Tell me I'm godly.

Content I am

to sit and stand

and stand and sit

stoned and transfixed

I'm naked

yet clothed

in polygamy

betrothed

and I have found the balance.
