Death defies us.

Death defies us.

A Poem by Alec Webster

Death is an unforgiving force
it haunts everyone in various ways.
filling us with realization no one ever stays
It's impossible not to be filled with immediate remorse.
Although it brings us closer in this god forsaken world.
While I too have felt the never ending pain.
the more time I sit and dwell
only makes life feel an internal living hell.
So I ask you death what really do you gain?
you took a person with a heart made out of solid gold
a child who never had a chance to grow a year old.
If sadness and depression is your true goal.
Then take it i don't need it anymore
I won't let you haunt my core.
