Moon and the Heart...

Moon and the Heart...

A Poem by TV
"

Frustrations of writing.

"
I look to the moon, my pen ready.
Nothing comes, the urge, the pain,
Help! The moon laughs, ridicules
my thoughts. This moon, subject of
the great poets of yore, demeans
and discourages my efforts. I turn
to my heart, full with words and feeling.
Where have you been it asks.
I’ve been to the moon I answer.
And, what did you find it asks?
Nothing, I answer. My words are
your words it says. No need to look
elsewhere. Always from my heart...

Good inspirations do play an important role in a poets life and moon has always been one of them. But the fact that you highlighted here that heart is where the words and feelings come from is also important and I guess these emotions and words are what a poem is actually compressed of. Moon is only a way to awaken them and all those inspirations are actually just for the sake of bringing out those feelings. Great job TV.
