A Cadence DivineA Poem by Anusha PrabhuA trance one night shook my doze It called in for an eternal quest It gave me dreams, my providence And poetry, as its esteemed bequest.
The souvenir left a blotch I wrote for bliss, for ecstasy But as days went, a day then came When writing made me feel so real
I wrote for my heart, and it’s content I wrote for the rhythm, of its beats I wrote about the winter shivers And much about the summer heat
I wrote on life, I wrote on death I wrote on mourn, and much on glee I wrote on every breath I took And writing made me feel so real
For poetry is but more than a rhyme It is but more than just an art It is the beat of a fine prospect That feels deep touched by every heart
It is but love, it is but life For me it is but the love of life For everything is see around I note a cadence, a cadence divine © 2015 Anusha Prabhu |
