Ordeal Strikes Again

Ordeal Strikes Again

A Poem by Anusha Prabhu

The sunup had minted, its destiny

Mourn had pawed for the tears of twilight

Reverence had drowned, in the depths of morale

Days went menacing, elevating were the nights

Life was sucked in, by the unheard diviners,

Hopes were soaked in acerbic wares

Grants were denied, as was deference

Hearts were torn, beyond repair

Veneration was seeked, by the meekest of vendors

Abhorrence was devoured, worthier than adore

Morals and virtues, were loathed by heavens

Antagonism bawled amen, and asked for more
