Monsoon whispers

Monsoon whispers

A Poem by Anusha Prabhu

As dawn ascends,

Untwining the essence

Of moon petals…

A hush… a breath, above the breeze

Serenading with the twittering birds

A silent song… solemn… divine

Tangled like seasoned wines

Somewhere beyond the miles of sand

That lines the lonely shores

Your whispers… like butterflies

With delicate wings, fragile yet fine

Dimming, tenderly, under the pastel of sunlight

Like the dew-kissed dusk, like mid-spring blooms

Like a dream, playing in soft repeat

Like the first ray of moon light, sings me a lullaby

Your whispers… weaving me a rainbow

The clouds have turned to grey,

And raindrops… trickle down your cheeks…

And as you hum the finest melody…

With a gentle touch of rhythm and rhyme

You make me drench… in your monsoon whispers
