When dusk descends

When dusk descends

A Poem by Anusha Prabhu

The sun descends, days go dark

The queen of dawn, beholds her breath

She has no time, neither desires

For birth now cries, and smiles over death

What’s over the world, nothing with a clue

Eternity now craves for its end

Words not worth the souls of the listener

As feelings are shared with all but friends.

The realm now replicates the symptoms of cataclysm.

I can see it coming and so can you

But none can help, though they’re trying abreast

Cuz’ the devils of dusk have lost their virtues.

This goes on and on ‘til it’s stopped,

By the angel of dawn who is yet beheld

So join your arms and pray for her

Or you’d have to live like the devils knead.
