The love that it was

The love that it was

A Poem by CA Anurag Sharma

Trying to run away from the truth that exists,
Telling the world that I havent exit,
Once I loved someone so deeply that I hate everyone around,
Once I trusted someone completely that I fear trusting anyone around,
Lost in the somber domes of the memories that we made,
Cursing the moments when I trusted the fake promises,
Love is not permanent, promises are not unbreakable,
People change, love vanishes but the truth remains,
How can you un-love someone whom you loved so madly?
As tears continue to roll down,
How can people move on so easily?
Because this pain will dig deep inside the heart forever,
How can people break someone and live peacefully?

There are times I believe we are the echoes of broken hearts. As time moves forward we learn to live with them more and more as their pain dulls. Their accumulation leaves us loving less and giving less of ourselves. For we can not give what we have already given away. Only love can replenish love. Thank you for your wonderfully thoughtful words.
