Wake up from the deep sleep you are in

Based on a horrific incident where a person hanged himself in front of onlookers who were busy making his video...this has shaken me completely

Please somebody stop him, he is dying,

Just save him, 

He has tied the rope to his neck,

Oh No! he is gone,

Media has got the story they wanted,

Onlookers have got their share of entertainment,

Now the video of his death will be sold in millions,

Ah! so many likes we will get,

So what he committed the suicide because of his problems,

He killed himself because he was jobless and hungry,

He killed himself in front of a large crowd,

Who were witnessing this entertainment like cowards,

Politicians will get another issue to accuse each other,

His death will garner more coverage,

Yes the life which he thought was useless,

Has given way to the death which will make benefit almost everyone,

Yes thats the harsh reality of this materialistic world,

Please, Please dont make life like this,

Why are we living like dead monsters?

Why dont we raise our voices for others?

Please dont become so insensitive,

Raise your voice, let yourself feel that you are alive,

Please dont make mockery of a death,

Please wake up from the deep sleep you are in,

This world belongs to you,

Feel the pain, hear you inner cries and yells,

Dont make this death sound like a business.

Here in the USA.Three state will allow volunteer death. If small change of living. Take a pill and die. My brother defeated cancer twice and stepmother twice too. Media making death okay. I have lost many to good and bad death. Death is the end. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and poetry.

Oh that incident gave me a shock too. So many people, such a big crowd and not a single person makes a move. but altogether it also brings up many unanswered questions too.

Why only politicians Anurag?? why not the media who clicked the pictures or filmed it and is now making a huge issue but at that time just made news and didn't tried to stop him? Media is there to report but it doesn't means they have no responsibility..

There are so many farmers committing suicides... but our politicians have made this death a political issue rather than doing something for the issue...yes i agree with you about the media...there was a photo few days back in a leading hindi newspaper where a little kid was attached to his mother's chest who was lying unconscious on the road because of accident... imagine the role of media here... the person who was busy clicking that photo rather than taking that lady to the doctor.... i have lost faith in media completely...

Yeah, We may elect representatives but that doesn't ends our duties. if all of us play our part carefully there are a lot of issues we can solve. and as for suicides, that's something that needs immediate attention.
