A message by paper and pen

A message by paper and pen

A Poem by CA Anurag Sharma
"

This has been inspired from the writings of one of my favorite poet..... Deepika...thanks for the idea.. :)

"
My pen and paper fought one night,
"People use you and get you out of their sight,
You end up being a history or a waste in the dustbin,
You are nothing without me" Pen said proudly
"Idiot you are, if you think like this,
I am not the history but I am the proof of history,
Without a ink even you are nothing" replied the paper,
They kept quiet for few seconds,
But after that they both admitted,
Like everyone, they cant survive alone,
Like everyone they also have their strengths and weaknesses,
Like everyone they dont compete but complete each other,
Like everyone they wont be able to survive if they keep looking at each others negatives,
Atlast they shook hands,
I smiled after seeing all this,
Till my alarm clock played the spoiled sport again,
Gosh! it was just a dream,
But what a message it gave,
We can only live peacefully by loving each other,
Fight has no place in this world,
We all the incomplete without each other,
Like paper and pen lets ignore each others' negatives.
Lets complete each other by becoming better human beings.

I liked your thoughts in the poem. The battle inside the mind can be a dangerous one.
"We all the incomplete without each other,
Like paper and pen lets ignore each others' negatives.
Lets complete each other by becoming better human beings."
The above lines are true. Leading with kindness, concern and love. This world would be a better place. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

"I am not the history but I am the proof of history" I liked this dialogue of the paper :)
I loved the message you've brought out through this writing - 'complete each other and not compete'
And thanks to you for you made my writing popular :P You even brought in my alarm friend XD
And you added a better climax to my writing and I can refer to your writing as the part 2 of mine;)

Thank you so much M'am :)
excellent use of metaphor...and personification...the battle of pen and paper...

the paper needs the pen to come alive, but the pen needs the ink....as much as we humans want to be self sufficient...we all need some one or some thing in order to fulfill our dreams...in order to be complete.

nicely expressed.

Very wisely penned Anurag!
Yes, we humans need to live in peace and complete each other instead of
competing with each other.

You're welcome!
I read the inspiration behind this one Anurag - I agree Deepika is a supremely talented writer here and its not surprising that she inspires.

I like the personification of the writers main tools here. Sure a pen can write on skin - the nib will fill will oils and block, it can write on a wooden desk, but the nib will wear down very quickly. Same way, the paper can allow a big felt pen to write on it but a few words will fill it, it can allow the end of a burnt stick to make a mark but it wont be graceful (or maybe even legible) - so it seems as you so excellently portray here that pen and paper need each other.
We all need each other - this is a salutary tale Anurag told in the Anurag stylings that are so very wise and eloquent.
Well penned!
