Loneliness

Loneliness

A Poem by CA Anurag Sharma
"

Loneliness is sometimes ones best friend

"

Loneliness taught me what the world couldn't,

It became the kind of friend which no one could,

Silent eyes and empty words gave me the answers which no one could,

The ticking clock was the companion which no one was,

Loneliness, you get after losing everything,

But it gives you the time to befriend yourself,

To think about how the life is shaping,

Although it feels bitter,

But it rejuvenates you for the better,

Loneliness is like a dark,

But it always enlightens a spark,

Listen to the passing seconds,

Talk to yourself, love yourself,

And be the best of what you are,

Make this loneliness your best friend,

It’s the best company one can have.

Your words are true.
"Make this loneliness your best friend,

Loneliness is a two-sided coin. Time to reflex and time to remember missed places and faces. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.'

Great line, filled with truth and honesty. But, ae you missing 'the' after 'what' ? You may have intended it that way, just wondering. I also loved the line "gives you time to befriend yourself." That is such an important idea that you really hit home on. Great poem, I loved the idea behind it and you wrote it wonderfully.

corrected... thank you so much for kind review :)
I do love being alone, beacuse it makes me think more about me and other people, its like having a time with yourself and there are somedays that I just want to be with myself and loneliness is really my best friend, I don't have people asking my or yelling at me, It's just me.
Wonderful poem, I agree with Jacob, just smooth it out a little and this poem would be even greater than what it is now (which is great)

Thank you Lizardo for the wonderful review.... its the best thing about being lonely...
don't want to criticize...does need some edits...think you meant "ticking clock"
and other smoothing out...but theme-wise this really speaks to the reader in terms of getting used to and accepting yourself...loneliness reminds us that in the end we have only ourselves to love...and that is the first step to being okay with others...

i really like this write.

Thank you Sir for the kind feed back... will edit it soon.... but thanks a lot :)
This write teaches how to make the best out of worst. Though in most cases feel desolated 'cause of the loneliness , there's no better occasion than this to understand ourselves. Ultimately it's only our soul that's gonna be with us till the end.
Very well written Anurag :)
