I am an atheist

I dont disrespect any God or religion... I just dont believe in any

I am an atheist,

This is not a fashion statement,

Its my belief,

But this doesnt mean that I disrespect any God or religion,

I just dont believe in his existence,

Because in the name of him the innocents are killed,

Because in the name of him people cheat,

Because in the name of him there is so much divide,

If he is there then why is he silent?

Why do some people live on roads while others enjoy every comfort?

Why doesnt he hear the voices of people who suffer?

If he is there then what is his identity?

If he is there then why is there so much cruelty?

When I see the dead bodies of innocents,

When I hear the cries of widows,

I question his existence,

The world is full of vices,

Its not all beautiful, its also sordid,

If he is there, then has he visited the huts of poor?

Why does he close his eyes when people die of hunger?

People say your every sin is pardoned if you confess in front of him,

But why does he allow the sin to happen?

What about the victim?

I am not some scholar or preacher who is preaching,

But there are questions which I am trying to find,

I dont care if there is any heaven or hell,

For me what is here that matters,

I am an atheist and I am proud of it.

i don't find any disrespect in this poem at all...valid questions are asked...and for some the idea of a supreme being is unfathomable...

emily dickinson said she wished she could have that crutch of religion to lean upon, but felt that unless you can show me, unless i can see him...i just can't believe...

You don't believe his existence bcoz haven't find solution for all who suffer pain and he is helping them. Use your insight the one who says I am an atheist worship him at last. It is not critical note friend in here. You want to proof of him there are many things that you accpted withput proof just check it out.

Firstly I would like to tell you, his existence is needs to feel not believe, then he keeps account for soul every he created, it pays what it does so often human fall in life circle, it is that I believe that we need to search for him, as I told in The Soul yes it final destination is mingling in supersoul it is called jagat niyama. I haven't read any vedas or attended any spiritual group like satsangha.

I worship or pray when my mind is clear, all time I try to find him in Karma.

First of all I respect your faith and to be honest I am not an atheist just for the sake of being one... .....You know what I suffered personal loss in riots in the name of religion.... It hurts me.... imagine how beautiful life had been without religions.... almost all killings are done in the name of religion...even those innocents in Pakistan and Assam were killed due to this.... I liked when you say... "I worship or pray when my mind is clear"...how many people do that actually.... we all have a selfish motive when we pray.... we want good to happen in our lives.... so we worship because we fear that God might do something wrong.... I believe we only worship because we are afraid of wrong...not because we love God....I am against that fear.... and i am just questioning this.....
Anyways I say it again that respect your views on it.... everyone has their own belief... so no problem with that....
