The Unexpected Journey

A sweet, yet a smart girl of eighteen,
All set to begin the journey,
that led to her dreams.
Dreams... which were simple, yet extraordinary.
Plain, yet confident.
Determined, sill confused.

But most importantly an optimist,
who very well knew and understood her journey.
The journey. The destination.

It started like any other day.
I went there like any other person,
like any other place, I would visit.
Hardly aware of the future.
And that my future was inches away from me.
That was when I laid my eyes on the loveliest creature on the earth.
Did I know then, that you were 'The One'?
'No' would be my honest answer.
Because I was headstrong,
who did not believe that I could fall.
So easily and simply,
in this incredible enchantment called 'Love'.

Days passed,
And everyday was new.
The moon seemed to be shining differently, speaking just to me.
Days were beautiful,
Nights were enchanting.
Because every thought, every moment was signed with your name.

Realization wasn't far off.
Soon it dawned on me.
Hard it was to face the truth.
But finally it was there.
I had been bewitched indeed.
All my determination, my pride, had betrayed me.
I had been diverted from my journey.
The destination was new.
The paths were something I never knew.
Oh! The feelings.. were unimaginable.
It was scary, yet beautiful.
It was painful, but ecstatic.
I was angry, yet happy.
I laughed, but there was tear in my eyes.

Why do you have it make it so difficult?
Why is everything about you so strange?
And the weirdest part-
Why do I love the strange part of you?

Your small indications,
even your slightest of smiles,
send my heart racing.
Your slightest of touches, set me on fire.
Every word you speak, I feel like drinking them from your lips.
This crazy being, hopes to drown in your dreamy eyes someday.
Why is it so, that I love everything about you?

Is it love?
If yes, then I can proudly say that 'I Love You'.
With all my heart and soul.
I want you to know, that wherever you go,
you might find someone better.
But, you won't find me.

I wish to wrap my soothing arms around you,
so that I can take away all your worries.
I wish to caress your head, and take away all your sadness.
I wish I could hear you for hours,
I dream that you will have your eyes only for me,
I promise to give you all the happiness in this world.
just to have a glimpse of your laughter.

I promise to be there for you, forever and every single of forever.
I wish I could have my arms around you,
touch your beautiful face.
A feather touch,
so that you can have beautiful dreams,
that you always hope for.
I will share all my dreams with you,
so that we can have our very own dreamland.
