Inspiring words

Inspiring words

A Poem by Kymoo

If you lost your inspiration,  can't find the words
Perhaps you should jump upon my ridge-back
Wrap your legs around my strong shoulders.

I'll take you to the river, before the first frost
We can walk together into the deep still water
To rest before the solid ice covers us over.

I promise to hold you tight...keep you warm
Through the winter months we will work together
To create enough heat...melt the thick layers.

In springtime, we will find those words..the inspiration
We will be free of this cold existence, the frozen heart
Yes in springtime, a new beginning...new words.

wondrous words, something pulled me back to them

you speak in volumes to writers...if warmth and inspiration and creation are analogous to spring and birth et al. then surely this is comforting. In the dead of winter where I grew up the rivers froze over and the snow piles as high as 14-15 feet and it was as if a huge blanket settled on everything muffling all the sound...the most peaceful thing ever for one who spent much time alone out of doors alone with the solace of nature. Your beautiful work sends me to other places and times but in my mind you bring all those things to the here and now...impressive

I don't know, sometime I find winter's cold and grey skies more inspirational. It is an awesome time for inspiration. But I love this encouraging and comforting poem. Made me feel very warm and secure. Lovely.

Spring time brings new energy and new life. People come out of heavy clothes and closed in homes to experience life once again. Your poem tells of a love story as well finding new words. Wonderful write.

It felt as if you were speaking to me with this piece. ;-)

I promise to hold you tight...keep you warm
Through the winter months we will work together
To create enough heat...melt the thick layers.

This was beautiful and perfect for the 6 inches of snow piled up outside of my terrace...the lakes here are frozen over and winter has us caught in it's grip. It wonderful to have writing on here to keep me warm!
