Fishing for Flies

Fishing for Flies

A Poem by Anti Phalanx

A hook full of fish
But a fly is my wish
Got nothing to loose
But I'm not going to win

I'll sit on my rock
At the edge of the dock
Watch the hours fly by
As the sun sets by far

By the sea front so wide
Just the fish do abide
The air is now cold
And the sea maybe warm

My hands they are tired
It's the flies I admired
I'm waiting, stood high
But the flies they're so small

I'll just rest my eyes
And hide away my cries
My eyes they shut tight
And my grip it grows loose

Asleep by the tide
I tried I tried I tried.
